Maxtor M3 External Portable USB HDD in St Andrews store


Need a large storage device you can easily use with more than one machine? An external USB hard drive is the ideal choice.

We recommend the portable versions generally, as- in addition to being lighter and easier to carry around- they don’t need a separate power supply (which saves you from having to carry around something else!).

Currently (as of September 2017) we stock the Maxtor M3 line in several sizes up to 2TB. Trust us- you won’t get that much storage from a pen drive!

As with most external drives these days, these Maxtor ones support USB 3 SuperSpeed, though you can still use them with a USB 2.0 interface.

On top of this, they come with:-

  • SafetyKey – Key encryption for protecting backed up data
  • SecretZone – Protect your personal info via a password-protected folder
  • Auto Backup – Automatically back up your important personal details

All said and done, we think Maxtor’s M3 line provides a good specification for the money, which is why it’s our current drive of choice for the St Andrews store. Come in and take a look!
